GISHWHES - Flag Concept

This was my flag entry for GISHWHES last year. I totally forgot to upload it. QAQ

What is GISHWHES? It stands for Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen, which is an event hosted by an actor named Misha Collins (if you watch the TV show, Supernatural, you know who that man is). For both years that the event has taken place, it has broken some sort of Guiness Book of World Record. Misha and his partner in crime, Miss Jean Louis, have for two years in a row now made up scavenger hunt lists of very crazy, zany things people are supposed to do to earn points. Each item (picture or video) is for a certain amount of points varying in difficulty. Easier items = less points, harder items = more points, and if you're super creative with the item, you get bonus points. Some items are country/area specific, making those items more difficult and crucial that you work as a team and HOPE that someone on your team is from there or someone on your team knows someone in said countries.

Last year's prize was that the winning team (they sorted you into teams with people from around the world last year) got flown out to Italy to have dinner and spend time with Misha. They got to do some very strange (yet awesome) GISHWHES-related activities with him in Italy.

To sum it all up, the hunt takes place for a short period of time during the fall and is meant to be, first of all, fun, secondly, to get people to do things outside of their comfort zone, and thirdly, to make participants become better human beings. The whole event revolves around Misha's charity, Random Acts, where people take time out of their day to consciously do good things for other people (big or small. Could be as simple as doing chores around the house or donating food/clothing to shelters). I completely and totally respect what he is doing and think that people should take a bit of time out of their busy lives to do something to make someone else smile. All proceeds/money from entrance fees from the event go towards his charity, Random Acts.

As for this submission, one of the items (worth a lot of points) was to come up with a flag design that represents GISHWHES. A lot of the items involved a sock monkey hat in some way, and the same thing with moustaches. The flying Christmas tree was one of the items and our team (I wasn't officially signed up. I only helped!) managed to make a five foot, decorated Christmas tree fly, so that's why it is there. The world, of course, is because it is an international scavenger hunt. And as for the wings and the halo, those are related to Misha's character on the show, Supernatural. There were quite a number of Supernatural related items on the list last year.
